How To Install: BodyGuard Water Filter & Matrixx Water Softener Combo System

Ensure that both media tanks are filled with their respective media packs and the valve heads are attached
Installation will start with the Bodyguard Filter (non electric head)

Lubricate the O-rings on the supplied bypass with silicone grease. Then proceed to apply a small amount of grease to the inside of the in/out head.
Install the bypass on the tank and begin to tighten the retaining nuts. Once they have been partially tightened, push the bypass into the in/out head to fully seat the o-rings. Proceed to tighten the bypass retaining rings until tight. The bypass will move slightly once tight. It is made to flex and move and will not be rigid.

Be sure the O-rings are lubricated on the elbow connectors. Install the elbows in the bypass valve and tighten the retaining nuts.

Shut off the main water supply feeding the house and open a faucet to drain the water from the system.
