Programming Using Legacy View App

The Legacy View app allows the user to control every aspect of the water system from the convenience of a smart phone. The Legacy View app will allow the user to monitor usage history, change cycle times, start a regeneration and advance through a regeneration.

To use the Legacy View Bluetooth App:

Download Legacy View App

Available in Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Select the Metered Softener from the device list

Select Set in the Time of Day on Unit box

This will allow the water softener's time to sync with the time on your device

Select Set in the Water Hardness box

Use the supplied water hardness test strips to determine your water hardness. We recommend you add 5 to the result of your test. For instance, if your water tests at 20 GPG, you will program for 25 GPG. If the water contains iron and / or manganese, multiply the total parts per million (ppm) by "four" (4) and then add to the grains per gallon (gpg) of hardness.
Use this COMPENSATED HARDNESS level when programming the regeneration frequency.

Select Set in the Regeneration Time box

By default, your water softener will come pre programmed to regenerate at 2 a.m. You will want to select a time that water will not be used during regeneration

Select the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

When the menu slides out, select Advanced Settings

Select Set in the Regeneration Day Override box

Adjust this parameter to every 14 days. If the system will be down more than 2 weeks at times, set the unit to 10 days

Select Set in the Reserve Capacity box

Adjust reserve capacity to 10% for 1-3 people in the home. Set to 25% for 4+ people in the home

Select Set in the Resin Grains Capacity box

The size of the water softener will determine your grains capacity

Select Set in Backwash box

This will be set to 10 minutes and should not be changed

Select set in the Brine Draw/Slow Rinse box

This will be set to 60 minutes and should not be changed

Select Set in Rapid Rinse Cycle box

This will be set to 10 minutes and should not be changed

Select Set in Brine Refill box
